I made this ArcGIS map application to analyze multiple factors that would determine who would be most vulnerable during a flood event in Houston, Texas.
This web app shows evacuation routes in Houston, Texas, along with demographic information that displays the percentage of households without a vehicle. The darker blue sections show a higher percentage of households who do not have a vehicle. This information helps answer the question: "Where in Houston should evacuation assistance be provided during a hurricane event?"
The Layers and Legends tool provides more information about the data in the map. Click individual census regions to view pop-up information about that census tract, including the percentage of households without a vehicle.
The map in this app was created in ArcGIS with a Living Atlas layer of evacuation routes in Houston and a demographic information layer.
